Personal Development

As part of your induction course, you were introduced to some topics that we expect you to understand and keep aware of:

  • Safeguarding, including health and safety and digital safety
  • British Values, including equality and diversity, and Prevent and anti-radicalisation

We expect our apprentices to be able to discuss these topics with their coaches at every review meeting. To assist that discussion, every 12 weeks, we will provide a short piece of learning content in this area of OpenLearning. You will be able to enrol yourself in these courses as they come up. (We recommend that you do that at or immediately after each review meeting so that you don't forget.)

Content warning: This topic deals with harmful sexual behaviour and sexual harassment. Please proceed with caution, and speak to your coach if you have concerns.

In this activity we will cover important aspects of online and digital safety, specifically digital safeguarding.

The aim of this activity is to:

  • Raise your awareness of the potential risks when interacting online
  • Provide you with tools to use should you or anyone you care about face risks or threats online
  • Provide real-life examples of the impact

This activity might be useful for you or for people around you, such as younger colleagues, children or older family members.
